I see a purple dot next to the My Patterns item on the Main Menu and also on the Menu symbol on top of My Readings. What does this mean?

The purple dot with a number inside it tells you that the app has detected one or more patterns that you have not yet reviewed. In My Patterns, these unread patterns have a purple dot next to them.
