Create an Ascensia Account
We are happy that you have decided to use GlucoContro.online!
The first step you need to take is to register in GlucoContro.online. Please follow the steps below to do it. The process will require a small amount of time and some of your personal data.
Step number 1:
Please go to the GlucoContro.online main (https://www.glucocontro.online/) page and click "sign up" in the lower-right corner:
Step number 2:
You will be asked to provide some information about yourself. Please choose ProfessionalAccount type. If you would like to register as a Patient or Caregiverplease be aware that functionalities for other account types are described in another User Guide.
Please fill all displayed fields accordingly. Remember to choose the password that is easy to remember but on the other hand hard to guess. Password must contain at least 8 characters including one number and one letter. You must also agree to the Ascensia Terms of Service to continue.
Please make sure to choose the Country that is relevant for your place of practicing medicine. You will be able to join Clinics and invite Patients within this Country. Also, all your Personal Information and Health Information of your Patients will be physically stored on the Servers which are located in the following places:
For United States and Canada, the Server is located in the United States.
For Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, the Server is located in Australia.
For all other countries the Servers are located in the European Union.
Step number 3:
After filling out all fields you should see the request to confirm your email address.
Please go to your mailbox and look for registration email from GlucoContro.online
Open the email, read all the content and click the link “Complete the registration process”.
You will see the information that the email verification was successful and you will be taken to step 4.
Please note that if your session expired between step 2 and 3, you may be have to log in providing the email and password you have set up. After you log-in the process will continue in step 4
Step 4: Provide additional information
Please be aware that there might be some differences to the scope of the data being asked depending on your selected Country. After filling out the form please click "Continue" button:
In order to use GlucoContro.online as a Healthcare Professional you must join an existing medical organization or set-up your own. If your organization already uses GlucoContro.online, search for it by name or city using the input in the top of the form and then click Join button next to it.
If your organization does not yet use GlucoContro.online you can create this organization. Please be aware that all new medical organizations created that way are reviewed by Ascensia employees before they become active and can be used.
Joining an existing organization
After selecting an existing organization by clicking Join button you will be prompted to provide your business email address in that organization. In case you are working for multiple organizations you may wish to provide a different email address in each of them. All communication from GlucoContro.online regarding those organizations will then be sent to the appropriate inbox.
After submitting the form you will be redirected to GlucoContro.online Dashboard, but you will need to wait for approval from the organization Administrator.
While waiting for the confirmation you may only use the option to join other Clinics from the Menu. After the Administrator approves your access, you may log-in back to GlucoContro.online or refresh the page, and you should see the General Population Dashboard of the Clinic. You will also have access to all Patient profiles in that Clinic.
Creating new organization
Step 1: Organization Details
If you wish to create a new Organization Create option in the top of the form. When you are creating a new Organization then you will become the Administrator who will be able to invite and remove other Healthcare Professionals to and from that Organization. You can also grant this administrative rights to other Professionals later.
Fill in the form that will be displayed. Please be aware that the scope of data required in this step may vary depending on the Country chosen for the organization. Please choose the country where the organization is registered as a legal entity.
Language that you will choose here will be used as a default language for emails that will be outgoing from GlucoContro.online to Patients and other Healthcare Professionals on behalf of this organization.
Step 2: Business email addess
After submitting new organization by clicking Sumitbutton you will be prompted to provide your business email address in that organization. In case you are working for multiple organizations you may wish to provide a different email address in each of them. All communication from GlucoContro.online regarding those organizations will then be sent to the appropriate inbox.
Please be aware that you must log in to GlucoContro.online using your primary email address that you have provided during registration
Step 3: Data storage option
Depending on the Country you have selected this step might be skipped. In this case your data will be stored in the Central Storage.
Please choose preferred storage option for your Organization data. This will include all Health Information about your Patients.
Central Storage means that your organization’s Health Information will be stored in Microsoft Datacenter which is governed by SdNcenter Sp .z.o.o (the manufacturer of GlucoContro.online).
Google Drive lets you use your own private Google Drive to store all of your organization’s Health Information used by GlucoContro.online. If you choose this option you will be prompted to log in to your Google Account and grant consent for GlucoContro.online to access your Drive. Please be aware that in this case you must keep your Google Drive safe and accessible to GlucoContro.online.
In both cases all Health Information stored are anonymized in a way that only you and Healthcare Professionals you will authorize are able to link your Health Information back to your Personal Information.
After choosing the storage, you will be redirected to your newly created Clinic dashboard, however you need to wait for AscensiaAdmistrator to approve your organization.
After the Administrator approves your organization, you may log-in back to GlucoContro.online or refresh the page, and you should see the General Population Dashboard of the Clinic.
