Download blood glucose data from Ascensia meter (Health Professional)

Install the GlucoContro Connector application

To download the blood glucose results directly from the meter please use the Download Data blue button in the top of the screen after you open Patient’s profile.

 

When doing this for the first time you will be prompted to download and install GlucoContro Connector application. Please note that this application is available for Windows only (Windows 7 or newer). Click on Install Results Downloader App and then Click in the installer in the place indicated by the blue arrow. 

Please be aware that local IT security policy within your workplace may affect the ability to download and install this application. In such case please ask for assistance from your local IT Department.

After the successful installation you should see the application running in the system tray

This installation process only occurs once and from now on you are ready to download the results from Ascensia meters into GlucoContro.online. Connector application should start automatically whenever you restart your Windows operating system.

Downloading Results

To download the blood glucose results from the meter please use the Download Data blue button in the top of the screen after opening a Patient’s profile

If you already have the GlucoContro connector app installed (please see chapter 2.6.1 for details of the installation process) you will see the screen asking you to choose the type of connection you would like to use. You can also see what models of Ascensia meters are supported in your Country. Please select the connection type to continue.

Please follow the instructions on the screen. The procedure will vary depending on the type of your meter. The following pictures shows the steps for the Contour TS meter connected with Blue Cable:

NOTE: If you are connecting the particular meter for the first time you will be prompted that this is likely a new meter and you will have to confirm the operation. Please make sure that you are using your device indeed. There is no possibility to remove imported readings afterwards. 

It may take a few moments for the results to be downloaded depending on the number of new readings stored in your meter. After this process you will see the results summary

Click Import Results. All the readings should appear on the chart immediately.
