Download blood glucose data from Ascensia meter

Install the GlucoContro Connector application

You can download blood glucose results directly from a meter into GlucoContro.online using the Download Data button in the patient's profile.

 

If you're using this feature for the first time:

  1. Click Download Data at the top of the patient's profile screen.

  2. When prompted, click Install Results Downloader App.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the installer.

🖥️ The GlucoContro Connector works only on Windows 7 or newer.

After installation, the application will run in the background (system tray) and launch automatically with Windows.

🔒 If you're in a hospital or clinic environment, your IT security settings may block the installation. Please contact your local IT department for assistance.

Downloading Results

Once the GlucoContro Connector is installed:

  1. Open a Patient Profile in GlucoContro.online.

  2. Click Download Data.

  3. A screen will appear asking you to select the connection type for the meter.

  4. You’ll also see a list of supported meter models for your country.

Follow the instructions shown on the screen — the process may vary depending on the meter model.

First-Time Connection Notice

If you are connecting a meter for the first time, the app will notify you that it's likely a new device.
You’ll be asked to confirm this action before continuing.

⚠️ Please make sure the device belongs to you. Once results are imported, they cannot be deleted.

 

After connecting:

  1. Wait a few moments while the meter data is read.

  2. A summary screen will appear showing the number of readings.

  3. Click Import Results to finish.

The readings will then appear immediately in the patient's graph and data view.
