You can create new patient profiles in your clinic and optionally invite them to share data online. By default, any patient you create will be assigned to you as their Leading Healthcare Professional.
Create local Patient record
1. Go to the main menu and click Add new patient.
2. A form will appear — fill in all required information.
-
Typically: First Name, Last Name
-
In some countries: also Date of Birth and/or National Identifie
3. (Optional) To add more details like diabetes type or treatment info, expand the Optional information section.
If you don’t want to invite the patient to use GlucoContro.online yet, leave the box “I want to send an e-mail invitation to this patient” unchecked.
In this case, blood glucose data can only be downloaded by physically connecting the meter in the clinic.
4. When you're done, click Add new patient.
You’ll be taken directly to the patient’s dashboard.
Invite Patients to share data online
To invite patients to share data remotely, they must register a personal GlucoContro.online account. Shared data will be visible to all HCPs in your clinic.
There are four ways to invite them:
1. Invite the Patient during record creation in the Clinic
-
Check the box “I want to send an e-mail invitation to this patient”
-
Enter the patient’s email address
-
The patient will receive an email and must follow the link to complete registration and start sharing data
2. Invite the Patient after his record in the Clinic was created
-
Open the patient’s profile
-
Click Invite to share data
-
Enter the patient's email and click Invite patient
A popup window will be displayed. Provide the email address of the Patient and click Invite patient.
3. Inviting the Patient using QR code
-
In the Add new patient window, go to the QR Code tab
-
Ask the patient to scan the QR code with their mobile phone
-
They’ll be taken to the registration page, and once they sign up, data sharing will start automatically
4. Inviting the patient by handing out Enroll code
-
At the top of your screen, you'll see your Clinic Enroll Code (e.g.,
4ORG
)
-
Give this code to your patient
-
After the patient registers, they can enter the code to link with your clinic
You will be notified of new enrollments and see a red dot next to their profile.
A banner will also appear in their profile for the first 7 days.
You now can:
- Keep the profile as is. The banner will eventually stop displaying for this Patient after 7 days from when the Patient enrolled.
-
Remove the patient from your clinic
-
Merge the profile if the patient already had an existing one (you’ll be guided through the matching process or can select a profile manually)
