What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi-factor authentication (MFA; two-factor authentication, or 2FA, along with similar terms) is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence (or factors) to an authentication mechanism. MFA protects personal data—which may include personal identification or financial assets—from being accessed by an unauthorized third party that may have been able to discover, for example, a single password.
How to setup MFA in GlucoContro.online?
1. Log in to the platform using your email address and password.
2. Enter the Contour Diabetes ID Portal.

3. In the left panel, click "Preferences".

4. Select "Multi-Factor Authentication" under the "Security" tab.
5. As you can see, the service status is "Off". To run it, click the "Activate" button.
6. First, for verification purposes, you will be asked to enter your password.
After entering your password, click "Continue".
7. In the next step, you will be asked to choose one of the methods. We can choose between Email or SMS. Select one of the authentication methods and click "Continue".
NOTE: There is an "Off" option available. This means that if you want to disable MFA in the future, you can do it here.
8. If you chose the SMS option, you will be asked to enter your phone number. In the case of the Email option, you will be asked to provide an email address for authentication.
NOTE: Only the country/countries you provided when creating your profile will be available. For example, if you have a US account and you have a phone number registered in Mexico, you will not be able to choose the area code from that country.
9. Enter the code you received on your phone number/email address and click "Continue".
10. As confirmation, you should see "Multi-Factor Authentication has been enabled" on a green background. Right below the word "Preferences".
11. From now on, each time you try to log in, right after entering your login and email, you will receive a window asking you to enter the received code via SMS or to your email address. You should receive the code for the indicated authentication method after a few seconds.
12. If you want to return to GlucoContro.online, just click "Service catalog" in the left panel. You will be redirected to the choice from point two of this guide.
