What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. It requires you to verify your identity using two methods – typically your password and a code sent via email or SMS – to prevent unauthorized access.
How to setup MFA in GlucoContro.online?
1. Log in to the platform using your email address and password.
2. Enter the Contour Diabetes ID Portal.
3. In the left panel, click "Preferences".
4. Select "Multi-Factor Authentication" under the "Security" tab.
5. If MFA is currently turned off, click Activate.
6. For security, enter your password again and click Continue.
7. In the next step, you will be asked to choose one of the methods. Select either Email or SMS for receiving your authentication codes. Then click Continue.'
💡 Tip: You can also choose “Off” to disable MFA in the future.
8. If you chose the SMS option, you will be asked to enter your phone number. In the case of the Email option, you will be asked to provide an email address for authentication.
⚠️ Note: You can only use phone numbers from countries selected when creating your account. For example, a US account can’t use a Mexican number.
9. Check your email or phone for the code, then enter it and click "Continue".
10. You’ll see a green confirmation message: "Multi-Factor Authentication has been enabled".
11. Each time you log in, after entering your email and password, you'll be prompted to enter a verification code sent to your selected method (email or SMS).
12. If you want to return to GlucoContro.online, just click "Service catalog" in the left panel.
